Day 1 – Arrival in Finse (1,222 m.a.s.l.)
The train stops in the middle of the plateau. We arrive in Finse in the evening and check in at Finsehytta, surrounded by the mighty ice of Hardangerjøkulen. Here we settle in with a briefing and distribution of equipment for the following day.

Hut for the night: Finsehytta (staffed hut)

Day 2 – Glacier hiking on Hardangerjøkulen
A day on the ice! We hike out to one of Norway’s largest glaciers, where we put on all our technical equipment and head out on an adventure across the ice, into crevasses, and wherever else our curiosity takes us up there 🙂

Hut for the night: Finsehytta (staffed hut)

Day 3 – Finse → Rembesdalseter (~20 km)
Our first long stage takes us into dramatic glacier valleys. We pass small lakes and wide-open plateaus before reaching Rembesdalseter, an unstaffed hut surrounded by wild nature. Here we can enjoy the evening with warmth, good food, and cozy company.

Hut for the night: Rembesdalseter (self-service hut)

Day 4 – Rembesdalseter → Kjeldsbu (~20 km)
From Rembesdalseter we climb up through the glacier valley and out onto the open plateau with sweeping views. The route takes us past small lakes and gentle ridgelines before we reach the quiet valley of Kjeldsbu, peacefully situated by the water.

Hut for the night: Kjeldsbu (self-service hut)

Day 5 – Kjeldebu → Krækkja (~18–20 km)
We continue through classic mountain plateau terrain with peaks and lakes along the way. Krækkja is an incredibly cozy staffed hut that will spoil us with a 3-course celebratory dinner after five amazing days in the mountains.
